Sound Therapy

Joanna Shairp About Me

Sound therapy incorporates the healing power of sound, using tuning forks to accurately create the required sound vibration for healing. It specifically embraces the healing power of the perfect fifth musical interval, enhanced by other body tuners. With this therapy, we tap into the sound waves of the perfect fifth musical interval, and thus receive the information which is transferred through sound.

Using tuning forks, this therapy opens the door to ‘stillness’ or ‘the still point’, which the patient may experience as a trance like state.

Harnessing the power of the perfect fifth musical interval, we are able to clear and harmonise the subtle energy field around the human body. This energy field is a template for what will show up eventually on the physical level.

In short, the sound frequency facilitates the latent potential for emotional, psychological and physical healing.

Whilst completing my MSc with the Centre for Psychiatry, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary College, University of London (2013-2015), I undertook innovative research into the perfect fifth musical interval, and its effects on emotional, psychological, and neurophysical health. ‘What is the effect of musical consonance, specifically the perfect fifth musical interval, on emotional, psychological and neurophysical health? A systematic review with case studies’.
